DESCRIPTION:
This game was my first true narrative design. I sat down and created the entire world of Snug's Retreat envisioning a shy alchemist who must venture out from his little hiddy-hole and learn to be brave.
Unfortunately, casual game publishers have a tendency to say casual players don't like fantasy settings. What started as a sweet, coherent, fantasy game was ripped apart so many times what remains is a shadow of the original.
Though the story disruption is a sad loss, what I miss most about the original design was the clean UI including hiding our gnome in all the scenes as our helpful hinter.
The lead artist was Amada Sartor, and she truly deserves as much work as you can throw her way.
